When Tesoro Beauty opened its doors in Calgary’s vibrant Marda Loop, the goal was clear: create a private, elegant boutique where every client feels like a treasure. Giono Studio was tasked with translating this vision into a space that blended luxury, intimacy, and functionality.
In a salon environment, beauty and wellness meet practicality. Surfaces must be easy to clean, spaces should feel inviting yet professional, and every design choice needs to elevate the client experience.
Giono Studio drew inspiration from the meaning of Tesoro—“treasure” in Italian—to craft a refined, French-inspired aesthetic. Seamless, profile-free cabinetry was chosen to prevent hair and residue build-up, ensuring effortless maintenance. Elegant details like glass inserts, unique latches, and carefully paired stone added sophistication without compromising functionality.
The ceiling plane, often overlooked, became a key design feature. Knowing clients would spend time lying on lash beds, Giono Studio incorporated thoughtful details overhead, turning the ceiling into a point of visual interest and enhancing the sense of luxury throughout the boutique.
Tesoro Beauty is now a refined, functional boutique where every detail elevates the client experience - beautiful, practical, and truly a treasure.
